How to train on integrating gender perspective in military operations?

Conflicts in this millennium take place within the civilian-environment. Men, women, boys, and girls are more directly affected by war than ever. And the threats they face are different due to their different roles in the society. While being killed remains the biggest threat for men, women increasingly face sexual violence used as a strategic weapon of war. The different roles of men and women also define their security needs. These differences must be analysed and addressed to counter the increased threat to their security in areas of conflict.

Therefore gender becomes a tool to protect the people and to increase the operation effectiveness and achieve our mandate.
